Destiny Wrestling Carnage Preview 30/1/16

Tomorrow night will mark a special occasion it will be the one year anniversary of Destiny Wrestling, Carnage will be a celebration. It will also mark the first time that they will be doing TV tapings, after signing with Bell Fibe TV I will provide my thoughts for the entire Carnage show.

The Fraternity vs. TDT

The Fraternity will be looking to bounce back after suffering a loss at last months Momentum event when Jersey Boyz used dirty tactics to get a win via a low blow and a roll up. The Fraternity have always been fan favourites with the crowd and they will have them on their side once again as they take on Montreal’s own TDT. This will be a very tough test for The Fraternity to handle because TDT are a savvy tag team and they have way more experience compared to The Fraternity. I envision this match will be very close and TDT will be victorious.

Scotty O’Shea vs. Lio Rush

Scotty O’Shea has always been an underrated talent and he always delivers and leaves fans wanting more. Last month at Momentum Scotty O’Shea was involved in a fantastic Fatal 4 Way even though he didn’t pick up the win he left a lasting impression.

This will be an insane match against an upcoming rising star in Lio Rush is the current CZW Wired TV Champion. I first saw Lio Rush live at Smash vs. CZW against Kevin Bennett and I must say that I was very impressed with what I saw from him and I was blown away with his lightning speed and kicks. Fans can expect this match to be extremely fast with multiple high flying spots that will leave fans in awe. I see Lio Rush going over in this match but both men will look like a million dollars.

Jennifer Blake vs. Deonna

Jennifer Blake has been dominating everybody she’s in the ring with at Destiny Wrestling, however this Sunday she will taking on her toughest competition to date Deonna. She has been making waves in the Indies scene in New Jersey and she has appeared on NXT multiple times, she has a bright future ahead of her in my opinion. I expect this to be an exciting Women’s match but I anticipate Deonna getting her hand raised in this contest.

RJ City That’s Entertainment Tonight Show

Some people are destined for what they do in their career and RJ City was destined to become a professional wrestler. Whenever you give him a mic it is pure entertainment so it was a no-brainier for RJ City to have his own segment. The only real question will be his first guest on his show so therefore I am taking I guess because Michael Elgin doesn’t have a match he will be the special guest on RJ City show.

Ethan Page vs. Moose

I cannot wait for this match between arguably the best indie wrestler in Ontario, Ethan Page. Page will be taking on a rising star in ROH with limited potential in my opinion. It was quite intriguing how this feud started because Moose sent out a video stating, that he will make his debut at Destiny Wrestling and issued an open challenge to “All Ego” Ethan Page. Then Ethan Page returned the favour by making his own video and he accepted his challenge. This match will be a close call but when all the smoke clears Ethan Page with walk out victorious.

Destiny Wrestling Rumble

It will be interesting to see what happens with the 15 man Rumble because the winner will receive a future title shot at The Destiny Wrestling world title. This will be an excellent opportunity to get exposed to new talent. At the end of the day it won’t matter because the One Man Dynasty Brent Banks will walk out victorious.

Attitude Era match

Kongo Kong vs. Randy Reigns

This feud started ever since Kongo Kong pulled off a massive upset victory on Reigns at last month Momentum event which nobody saw coming. Then all hell broke loose when Kong officially snapped when he connected with numerous Frog Splashes after the match on Reigns.

Then officials and security were trying to stop the carnage but Kong was not listening and he brutally assaulted everybody in the ring. Due to his actions this caused the chairman of Destiny Wrestling George “Iceman” to book this match this Sunday, an Attitude Era match which means no rules with special guest referee Mick Foley. It is extremely difficult to predict this because this match can go either way and it could finish just about anywhere in the building at The Battle Arts Academy. Randy Reigns will have his hand raised in victory in the carnage.

SmackDown Review 28/1/16

Photo credit courtesy of the WWE

The aftermath of the Royal Rumble, provided yet another great episode of SmackDown it was filled with surprises, as always I will provide my three count in addition to the results.

1) AJ Styles SmackDown debut

AJ Styles has had an incredible week so far debuting in the Royal Rumble this past Sunday, on RAW he defeated a former 6 time WWE World Champion in Chris Jericho. On SmackDown he took on a member of the Social Outcasts in Curtis Axel and I must say it was a solid match and Curtis Axel really held his own in the ring against one of the best wrestlers in the world.

However you knew that he couldn’t hold AJ Styles down and he’s got the very best of Axel. Styles even connected with the Styles Clash for the first time since he teased it twice at Royal Rumble and on RAW. This win keeps the momentum going for “The Phenomenal One” and AJ Styles is destined for a very bright future within the WWE.

2) Credibility

I love how Kalisto won his US title back from Alberto Del Rio at the Royal Rumble and let’s just hope his title run last longer than this first one. This past week on SmackDown the new US Champion took on “The Man That Gravity Forget” in Neville. It was a crazy match that was filled with insane spots fitting both men’s strengths in the ring. There was an unbelievable spot where Kalisto performed a Super Frankensteiner off the top rope, The Lucha warrior connected with a modified mid-air Salida del Sol for the three-count.

3) Surprise return

It was nice to see Natalya back in action because she is such an asset to the Diva’s Revolution. She is such a skilled veteran whenever she’s involved with the overall story-line that will help the Divas grow as an overall division in my opinion. Even though she came back and took a loss to Charlotte via interference from Ric Flair which led to Charlotte getting the victory via The Figure Eight Lock. It will be very interesting moving forward how they utilize her and if she will form her own faction of women.

SmackDown Results

The Usos Titus O’Neil  Dolph Ziggler defeated The New Day and The Miz via Clash of Titus on The Miz

Kalisto defeated Neville modified mid-air Salida del Sol

Charlotte defeated Natalya via Figure Eight Leg Lock

AJ Styles defeated Curtis Axel via Styles Clash

Roman Dean Ambrose defeated via DQ Bray Wyatt Braun Strowman Luke Harper

RAW Review 25/1/16

Photo credit courtesy via The WWE

The night after Royal Rumble, Raw continued WWE’s hot momentum with the first Raw on the Road to WrestleMania and it was a great episode, as always I will provide my three count in addition to the results.

1) The Rock vs. The New Day

Now before Raw took place the WWE teased a return from a former superstar on the show and fans knew because it was in Miami it was going to be The Rock. To nobody’s surprise it was “The People’s Champion”. The Rock interrupted The Miz backstage and then he had multiple interactions with everybody from Rick Ross, Big Show, and Lana. As The Rock came through the curtain the crowd exploded while he did his regular skit.

To everybody’s surprise The New Day interrupted “The Great One” and The Rock decided to go improv on the mic and he didn’t care about it being in the PG era, he took it back to the golden era of wrestling, the Attitude Era. This segment in my opinion was absolutely legendary because The New Day took their shots at the Rock. However I don’t believe The New Day were ready for The Rock’s punch lines to which they couldn’t come back. The Rock stated that the New Day looked like fools for having a penis on their forehead and Big E was a mix between The Hulk and Steve Urkel. The Rock delivered a pair of Rock bottoms to Kofi and Big E followed by a People’s Elbow to Xavier Woods.

2) AJ Styles in ring debut

The hottest free agent in wrestling AJ Styles made his raw in ring debut in a one on one match with Chris Jericho and I must say I was still excited and marked out for AJ Styles. Before the match Renee Young had an interview with “The Phenomenal One” and Chris Jericho interrupted him and stated he has heard a lot of things about him and he should have been in the WWE years ago.

I thought that this match was great because Styles and Jericho brought the best out of each other because they didn’t want either man to show them up. There were a lot of high flying moves that both men pulled off. The finishing sequence had Jericho lock in the Walls of Jericho but Styles was able to escape out of it. Styles attempted to hit the Styles Clash but he was unsuccessful but countered with a roll-up pin that gave Styles his first win on the main roster.
3) Title Picture

The biggest question of The Royal Rumble was what was going to happen with WWE World Heavyweight Title going into WrestleMania. Therefore Triple H and The Authority wanted to evaluate the talent in the locker room in a series of matches and then he would handpick the challengers for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. After the main event Triple H decided to choose Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar at the Fast Lane PPV, the winner will face Triple H at WrestleMania for the WWE Heavyweight Champion.

RAW Results

Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler via Pop up Powerbomb

The Dudley Boyz defeated Social outcasts via 3D

AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho roll up pin

Sasha Banks defeated Becky Lynch via Disqualification

Bray Wyatt defeated Kane via Sister Abigail

Natalya and Paige defeated Brie Bella and Alicia Fox via Ram-Paige DDT

U.S. Champion Kalisto defeated The Miz via Salida Del Sol

Roman Reigns and Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose defeated Sheamus and Rusev via Spear

Royal Rumble Review 24/1/16

Photo credit courtesy of the WWE

Last night at the Royal Rumble it changed the complete landscape of the WWE moving forward in a crucial time, its known as the road to Wrestlemania with Wrestlemania being just around the corner. As I always do I will provide my three count in addition to the results of the rest of the card.

1) Royal Rumble Match

This was the match that everybody was looking forward to it was a One vs. All Royal Rumble match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The odds were against Roman Reigns but that was nothing new for him because he always had to deal with obstacles throughout his title reign as Champion. I was quite surprised that AJ Styles was entry number three so early in the match but now that I look at it made sense.

However Styles made quite a first impression and the Royal Rumble being held in the Orlando we all knew that the fans would be hot for him the whole night. Styles lasted a very long time with Kevin Owens officially eliminated him over the top rope. R-Truth made my night when he was entry number 12 in the match and then he immediately went for the ladder and began to climb it in the ring for no reason. This just goes to show you how good and entertaining his character really is this would eventually lead to his elimination.

Even though a lot of people that I spoke to did not like the League of Nations assault on Roman Reigns, I thought it made logical sense in addition to making Rusev look strong in the process. I thought it was extremely disappointing that there were not many surprises during the match but it still had many entertaining elements.

Another bright spot that it took away from the Rumble was how strong they booked the Wyatt Family. It was nice for a change because they needed to start being believable once again as a dominant faction. They left their mark and completely dominated everybody in the match including when it took every member of the Wyatt Family to eliminate Brock Lesnar.

The 30th entry wasn’t a surprise and it being the COO “The Game” Triple H he looked great regardless of his age he can still go. I was surprised at the final four competitors Triple H, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler. Triple H eliminated both Reigns and Ziggler this left him alone with the “Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose. Both men were fighting for their lives and they did whatever it took to eliminate each other but Triple H was the last man laughing. He got enough strength to eliminate Dean Ambrose and with that victory all of the power goes back to the Authority and Triple H became a 14 time World Heavyweight Champion.

2) Hot start

I thought that starting the night off with the Last man standing Match was a fantastic idea to get the crowd invested right away. Both Ambrose and Owens literally kill each other in a ring with multiple weapons such as steel chairs, steel steps and tables. Even though Owens and Ambrose might be limited with their move sets this was a match made in heaven in the perfect environment for both to showcase their talents. Both left their bodies on the line everywhere along with weapons that surrounded them in complete chaos.

Owens was very driven to do whatever it takes in order to regain his intercontinental title. However Owens went to attempt a Moonsault off the top rope onto Dean Ambrose he was on a pile of the steel chairs. Ambrose had quick instincts to get up and he shoved Owens off the top rope Owens, he landed onto two tables that were on the outside and they were stacked on top of each other.

3) New feud

I was really looking forward to the Divas contest between Becky Lynch and Charlotte because these two have had quite an entertaining feud together. Becky Lynch wasted no time taking it to Charlotte Lynch worked on Charlotte arm immediately, in order to weaken it to apply the Dis-Arm-Her submission hold later on in the match.

A hilarious spot happened when Ric Flair kissed Becky Lynch and then he got involved multiple times during the match as expected. That seemed to be the turning point of the match for the Divas Champion because she slowed down the match and she started to focus on Becky Lynch legs. In order to damage her legs for her Figure Eight leg lock submission hold.

Becky Lynch managed to find a way to escape from Figure Eight leg lock. This gave Lynch adrenaline was able to connect with two Suplex’s which was followed by another Dis-Arm-Her attempt. It looked like Lynch was destined for the victory and the Divas Title until Ric Flair got involved and he threw his jacket on Lynch’s head.

Therefore this distraction gave enough time for Charlotte to break out of the hold. Eventually she broke Lynch in half with a vicious spear for the three count to retain her Divas Championship. However the real story was after the match when Charlotte was celebrating “The Bo$$” Sasha Banks, decided to crash the party and the crowd erupted for her.

Banks made her way down to the ring and to the surprise of many she brutally assaulted Becky Lynch and she kicked her outside of the ring she screamed at her this is my time. Then Banks blindsided the Divas Champion with a Backstabber and she locked in The Bank Statement. Banks made quite a statement on Charlotte it will be very interesting where this will lead us down to the road to WrestleMania.

Overall I was pleased with this card I would give this Royal Rumble a 9/10 despite not getting any surprises in the Royal Rumble match, regardless WWE did a fantastic job at building and creating new feuds moving forward.

Royal Rumble Results

The New Day successfully defended their WWE Tag Team titles over the Usos via The Big Endings

Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio via Salida Del Sol he became a 2 time US Champion

Royal Rumble Preview 23/1/16

I have never been this excited in years but this Royal Rumble will be special due to the fact of all the surprise appearances and every match on the card I am truly invested. I will provide you with a rundown of the overall card in addition to my thoughts for each match.

Fatal for way Tag Team match

The Dudley Boyz, The Ascension, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger and Darren Young and Damien Sandow

There will be a random fatal four way Tag Team match The Dudley Boyz, The Ascension, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger and Darren Young and Damien Sandow.

The winning tag team is will be eligible for the Royal Rumble match later on in the night. I might say these tag teams are random between Mark Henry and Jack Swagger and Darren Young with Damien Sandow it doesn’t make sense. It is clearly obviously that the Dudley Boyz will get the win and advance to the Royal Rumble match.

WWE Tag Team Titles

The Usos vs. The New Day

This will be a battle between the best tag teams in the WWE currently between The New Day and the Usos. I am still scratching my head because I don’t know how the Usos won the Slammy award for The best Tag Team of the Year when Jey Uso was out for six months with a shoulder injury. The New Day was clearly the best tag team of the year in the WWE and everybody knows that.

This match carries quite a back story because The New Day stated that they were the reason why Jey Uso was injured with a shoulder injury. The Usos and Chris Jericho broke the Uso trombone aka Francesca which led to the Usos picking up a non title win over The New Day on RAW. It will be interesting to see what type of mentally that the New Day has and they will a new instrument be involved assisting The New Day to victory we will have to wait and see. I envision the New Day stealing a win to retain their WWE Tag Team Titles.

Divas Championship

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte

This arguably has been one of the best feuds in the last couple of months they were allies at the time in Team PCB but they turned into hated enemies. These two seemed to be the best of friends and they had a healthy competition with each other seeing who can outperform each other every week. Then Charlotte attitude changed when her father, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, began accompanying her down to the ring. Ric Flair had a strong influence on her obviously is in her DNA and she began to act like “The Dirtiest Player in the Game” stealing victorious in order to retain her Divas Title at any costs.

On RAW a couple of weeks ago during a non-title match between the two on Raw, The Nature Boy made his presence known he interfered behind the referee’s back. Regardless of the distraction Becky Lynch gave Charlotte a taste of her own medicine, when Becky used Charlotte tights to steal a win from the Divas Champion. Charlotte was heated and she attacked Becky from behind which planted a seed between these two for a feud.

Then in the same week Becky nearly captured the Divas Title in a Divas Championship match on SmackDown she locked Charlotte in the Dis-Arm-Her and she tapped out but the referee couldn’t see it. Then Flair used his intelligence and he placed Charlotte’s foot on the bottom rope, forcing Becky with no choice but to release the hold. Moments later, Charlotte used her feet illegally on the ropes for added leverage Charlotte stole the win to retain her Divas Championship. Becky Lynch has all the momentum in the world right now and I envision her to become the new Divas Champion this Sunday.

US Title

Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio

Kalisto has been on top of the world ever since he won the OMG Moment of the Year. Even though Kalisto is known for tag team wrestling with his partner Sin Cara as the Lucha Dragons, he has made a name for himself as a singles wrestler. Kalisto picked up multiple wins over Alberto Del Rio which earned him a US Title shot opportunity. Kalisto shocked the world when he pulled off a massive victory over Alberto Del Rio on RAW for the US Title against him.

In recent weeks, Kalisto has revealed himself to be a legit threat to The League of Nations. However Kalisto US title reign was short lived it only lasted less than a week in the exact same week Del Rio won the belt back. Del Rio was about to lose on multiple occasions but with an assist from King Barrett. The odds were back in Del Rio favour and the numbers game was too much for Kalisto to handle. After two attempts of the Arm bar submission Kalisto had no choice but to tap out then Alberto Del Rio became the new US Champion.

Going into this match up the fans can expect a great match between these two because they have incredible chemistry together. At the same time it’s a shame that Kalisto was pushed so hard so fast now he has no steam ever since he has lost his US title. I envision that Alberto Del Rio will retain his US title with the help of his allies in the League of Nations.

Intercontinental Championship match

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose

When this match was first announced I believe it has the potential to steal the show because this feud has been very entertaining between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose. Kevin Owens has officially lost his mind when he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Dean Ambrose at the WWE TLC PPV. Therefore it was only right that this match is contested in a Last man standing match.

Owens has been on mission for that Intercontinental Championship attacking Ambrose after or during his matches to leave a message. Then Ambrose returned the favour and did the exact same thing over the last couple of weeks the two have had multiple singles and tag matches all ending in no contests.

Fans can expect a hard hitting contest between these two brawlers but I have a feeling that the prize fighter Kevin Owens, he will fight until he becomes the new Intercontinental Champion. Owens will be the last one laughing while Ambrose struggles to get to his feet with a ten count in defeat.

One vs. all Royal Rumble match

Now in wrestling there is very few matches matter anymore and the Royal Rumble has been a staple in wrestling since the 1980’s. For the first time ever in WWE history the WWE World Heavyweight Champion will have to defend his title against 29 other men. I am beyond hyped for this Royal Rumble match; this year is different because of nostalgia purposes and the speculation of the debut of “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles.

My predictions for the surprises are AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, Tommy Dreamer, Carlito, Vader, Daniel Bryan, X-Pac, Kevin Nash, RVD, The Hurricane, MVP, The Godfather, Rikishi and Jeff Hardy. The final four competitors will be Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman will find a way to eliminate Lesnar. The final three men will be Wyatt, Strowman and Reigns then it will be down to Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns, he will eliminate Bray Wyatt then Roman Reigns will believe he has successfully defended his title.

All of a sudden Triple H music hits and he eliminates Reigns in order to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However I would not be surprised if Bray Wyatt won the title, the way that the Wyatt Family are currently being pushed.

WWE focusing on the Japanese market

For the last two weeks the WWE has been buzzing from the speculation about the possible signing of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson. It is quite ironic with all these movements happening the day after Wrestle Kingdom 10 which coincidentally was also the first day of the WWE launch of the WWE Network in Japan Jan 5 2016.

These moves needed to be done because ever since the 90s and even going into the new millennium WWE never really focused on Japanese wrestlers. There was only a select few that will last a significant impact such as Yokozuna, Hakushi, Bull Nakano, Taka Michinoku, Tajiri, and Gail Kim. In addition to their most recently signs of Kenta Hideo Itami Kana Asuka.

For years WWE has received criticism for their signing but more importantly how they utilize the talent as it relates to the creative team. The creative team plays a vital role in the process when the talent debut on NXT and eventually moving up on the main roster and getting lost in the shuffle. There is very few regrets that the WWE has over the years but two specific examples that come to my mind was not signing AJ Styles, Sting early as well as numerous other independent talent. AJ Styles has just about done everything there is to do in wrestling except to compete in the biggest company in the world in the WWE.

However there’s a saying that timing is everything and the timing of this acquisition is absolutely perfect in my opinion. For years AJ Styles have been the face and the franchise of TNA, being a Triple Crown winner and winning every title in the company’s history. As of right now Styles stock hasn’t been higher because he made a statement winning the NJPW World Championship on multiple occasions and he was the former leader of one of the most influential factions in history and in recent memory the Bullet Club.

Now speaking of the Bullet Club two members that were in faction have allegedly signed with the WWE. This is not the first time that Doc Gallows has been with the company back in 2007 he debuted as Fetus where many people thought they dropped the ball with him and rightly so. It took until 2009 to really see his potential when he joined CM Punk as a member of the Straight Edge Society.

Then in 2010 he was released by the company and then he spent a couple of years in TNA history. He was a part of one of their best factions in company history The Aces and Eights. Doc Gallows really hit his stride with his run with the Bullet Club in 2013 during this time in NJPW he won IWGP Tag Team Champions three times with “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson they are the current IWGP Tag Team Champions.

Machine Gun Karl Anderson has been a staple in NJPW even since 2008 forming as a tag team Bad intentions with Giant Bernard known in the WWE as Albert. Even though they only held the Tag Team titles one time they made history by having the longest title reign in company history of 443 days. In addition to successfully defending their tag team titles eight times that is the most history.

Now moving forward to Shinsuke Nakamura this hurts NJPW significantly because he was one of the most popular figures and he was one of the faces of the company. Nakamura has won everything there is to win in NJPW he is a three time IWGP World Champion became the youngest champion at 23 years old, five time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, IWGP Tag Team Champion with Tanahashi G1 Climax tournament winner back in 2011.

Most importantly regardless of all of his accolades his matches speak for themselves and he always brings the very best when he’s in the ring. He is called the King of Strong Style for good reason because he is very physical and have lightning quick feet that if he catches you with them goodnight. One distinct quality that separates Nakamura apart from everybody else is his body mannerisms and facial expressions because it brings more to the overall match with his excellent psychology.

These acquisitions of taking talents away from NJPW to WWE will also hurt NJPW for other reasons such as NJPW World subscribers. NJPW World was launched back in 2014 for 999 yen which is $12 Canadian and $8 in US currency. It gives the promotion the opportunity to give further exposure to wrestling fans that might not know about NJPW the ability to stream their events whenever you live. Having four elite talent leaving you can expect the numbers of subscribers to decrease as expected.

NXT Review 20/1/16

NXT continues to be a roll this week it was a compelling setting up the next week and months moving forward.

The opening match was Sami Zayn taking on one member of the Social Outcasts Adam Rose. I don’t know what it is but any time Adam Rose is on NXT rather than the main roster he looks like a tougher opponent in addition to the fact of having better matches. Rose took on Zayn to the limits but Sami Zayn was too much too handle with once he locked on Koji Clutch submission on Rose he had no choice but to tap out. Zayn is looking in very good form heading into a number contender for a Triple Threat match.

Apollo Crews vs. Tye Dillinger

Even though Apollo Crews might not be in the title picture right now he has eyes on the NXT title. He took on stiff competition in the Perfect 10 Tye Dillinger they had previous history in the past they fought in Crews debut back in August NXT TakeOver Brooklyn. This week Tye Dillinger gave Crews a run for his money however Crews overpowered Dillinger with his unique Powerbomb which I love how it looks After the match, Crews admitted that he felt has unfinished business with NXT Champion Finn Bálor. Therefore Crews issued an open challenge for a one-on-one, non-title match with the NXT Champion and Bálor would eventually accept his challenge later on in the show.

Baron Corbin vs. Rich Swann

The Lone Wolf has been a mission even since Corbin declared himself the uncrowned NXT Champion ahead of the number 1 contender’s Triple Threat Match. However, before that match Corbin had to get through an NXT highflyer newcomer Rich Swann. I couldn’t be happy for Swann because he has an unbelievable story and he used wrestling to get him throughout his rough life. Not to mention watching him for years in Smash Wrestling and getting to debut against Brent Banks in a night I will not forget.

Swann did his best by utilizing his speed and agility to try to pull off a massive upset on The Lone Wolf. There was a sick spot where Corbin tossed Swann in the air and he hard on the mat, Corbin caught Swann and planted him with the Deep Six slam.

NXT Women’s Champion Bayley and Carmella vs. Alexa Bliss and Emma

It was a unique tag team match with newly number one contender for Carmella and her friend Bayley took on Alexa Bliss and Emma. The surprising duo of Emma and Bliss seemed to be clicking as a tag team they took out Carmella before the bell rang and they were doing a number on NXT Women’s Champion Bayley.

Alexa and Emma continued to do damage over Bayley  as heels they trapped Bayley in their half of the ring while Carmella could do nothing. Bayley is a fighter she found a way to tag in her best friend Carmella. Then “The Princess of Staten Island” Carmella went to work on both Bliss and Emma. Carmella picked up the victory after she slammed Alexa on the mat, followed by locking on a neck crank with her long legs which looked amazing this made Bliss to tap out.

Samoa Joe vs. Johnny Gargano

Before the main event Gargano had an incredible promo Samoa Joe’s being a bully and he would punch him in the face and end his bullying on the NXT roster. However Joe was focused and on a mission and this was a great tune up match for him, to get ready for next week’s number one contender’s triple threat match for the NXT Title. Gargano did not fear Joe at all did there was no stopping Samoa Joe he took everything that Johnny Gargano had. I was surprise that Gargano was so over Joe, in the match and got that crowd reaction even though he has a huge following on the indies scene.

It seemed that Joe took it to Johnny Wrestling and he was content to get count-out victory but Gargano, kept fighting and he struggled to get back into the ring but he made it in time. Gargano hit Joe with a series of forearms and enzuigiris. The finishing sequence was when Gargano tried to dive through the ropes at his Joe instead Gargano got a vicious knee to his face. That was the beginning of the end for Gargano Joe was able to lock on the Coquina Clutch submission to make Gargano.
